Christmas Shopping Rush

Posted by willbps on 16th December 2006

The closer and closer we get to Christmas, stores begin to bring in more and more stock and it becomes a shopper’s worst nightmare. Long lines, sold out items, and there becomes less and less stock for a family to buy, especially the new items like the Nintendo-Wii. Some people say it’s the most upcoming Nintendo/Microsoft product ever made. These products just got released on the 7th of December, and already some stores have sold thousands of the Wii’s. So parents I would take another look at your son’s or daughter’s Christmas list, because they cost about $400 dollars so they’re quite expensive, so I wouldn’t by them if you don’t have the money.

Bush-Fires

Posted by willbps on 15th December 2006

Lately on the news they’re a lot of reports about bush-fires, and how they are harming the communities, taking out all of the farms, and taking away all of the houses that people live in. The last time I heard there were 49 bush-fires, and they’re not just little fires they’re big fires that have been taking out anything in it’s path. Some of the fires are on land, and some are in the mountains but no matter where they’re most of them are a major effect to the Eco-System and our Social Living. A few of the fires have been said by the CFA to have been lit purposely by some teenagers or adults, that are out to have a bit of fun by breaking the total fire-ban rule that was put in place when the fires became to get worst. Iron Chief

Posted by willbps on 19th November 2006

In the middle unit we have been given another homework task that requires us to cook up a storm in the kitchen, (with parent’s supervision of course). We have to use a block solid, powder solid and a liquid of some sort, and we have to bring it into class and let the grade taste test it. But we have to bring a sheet of paper so that the kids and parents know what their child is eating, and also to make sure they’re not allergic to any of the stuff the is in the master-piece. After all of this the teacher grades you and that’s the homework pretty simple isn’t it.

The World Is Coming To An End

Posted by willbps on 19th November 2006

Lately a lot of scientists have been talking about Global Warming and how it’s effecting the planet because humans use too much electricity, and we’re causing things called Green House Gases. Now we all use electricity so we’ve all contributed to it, so it’s not like only one Person done it and we’re going to blame it on them. Now I’m going to give a fact If humans didn’t cause Green House Gases the earths temperature would be 30% lower then what it is on a normal day. Scientist are conducting test on how we can stop Global Warming with things like Nuclear Power Plants or Solar I mean they’re all good ideas but they do come at a cost. So do whatever you can and don’t cause too much Green House Gases, help the earth.

Christmas Catalogue Goals

Posted by willbps on 15th November 2006

In Middle P we are getting ready to save up some money to buy some gifts for children overseas places like Zambia and lots of other places as well. Today we wrote up some things were saving up for like a Goat, a Lamb, School Supplies, Eye care, and pretty things that they will need to survive on. Because in some places like Zambia they don’t have clean water like us, they can’t go to school because their parents can’t afford to pay for and they’re very poor people. So they’re very unfortunate people and if you want to get involved and buy a gift or couple or sponsor a strugling kids go down to the Christmas Catologue post not the first one the second one. It’s by Josh.C and click on the World Vision or the TEAR links and off you go.

 josh-and-dad.jpg

On the 17th of October the middle unit had a science night and had to bring along one family member to look after them for the hour and fifteen minutes they were there. In Mr. P’s room we got to make something on the activities cards you picked up, their were eight I think and a lot of people enjoyed it. In Mrs Makin’s room and Miss Kemp’s we got to test invisible inks. There were Lemons, Carb Soda, Milk and Potatoes. Once we had written something down you could light a candle, rub Iodine over it or Iron it. In Miss Cook’s room we messed around with food dye.

TV STARS !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by willbps on 13th July 2006

On Friday Middle P got on TV on channel 31 which I think is SBS the one that the soccer was on. First they interviewed Mr. Pearce about technology and complicated things that he does in his teaching life. Then David, Fraser and Will showed off the Mac Mini. They did a song and played it in the background with the smart-board speakers with a cool microphone. Two girls interviewed the reporters.
