Just the other day 2 of our students and our teacher were in the paper with the class Macintosh. They were Peter L, Emma F and of course Mr Pearce. Anyway a Macintosh is a sort of computer except flat screen and more money. Middle P’s favorite thing to do on the Macintosh is Garage Band. Garage Band is a game where you create music and you put them on podcast’s. It’s fun to play with!

Just the other day I went on a bush walk and found a piece of pink rose Quartz it is worth a lot of money. It’s quite big too. It was just lying around in the dirt and I had to wash it because it was dirty. The bush walk was at Anglesea and it was an hour there and back.

On the well I’m not sure what the date was but we had visitors from the Corangamite CMA which is a water saving company. It save animals like the Pigmy Perch which is a type of endangered fish that lives at I think 7 places in Australia, but they were talking about the Short Finned Eel. We learned a lot about the Short Finned Eel such as after it has its babies it blows up! We were told a story about how it mates and other thing like where it comes from but I forget. It was fun! :)

In a weeks time it will be the AFL footy grand finals, I am not sure who is playing but I know that it is going to be a great event. My family has a big party in our garage and we invite all our friends and family. We clean the garage because it is mostly dirty. It is going to be great!

On the 7th of September about half the middle unit went to the “Hoop Time” competition at the Geelong arena. By the way Hoop Time is a basketball competition when people from different schools compete against other people from different schools. The Bellaire teams were named The All Star Girls, The All Star Boys, The Bellaire Suns and the Bellaire Kings; I was in the All Star Girls. It was fun for me but I am not sure about everyone else though. My team were in the semi finals but we lost.

Canoeing is fairly easy when you’re first taught to paddle, and it is also easy to steer the boat. When you begin you need 2 or 3 people, but otherwise you can have a 1 man canoe.
The river was in a donkey paddock, and there were donkeys in the paddock. When the wind was very forceful the canoe would slowly blow to the side of the river.
Daniel was the instructor of the canoeing. He was very experienced with canoeing, so he knew that everyone was safe. He taught everyone how to paddle properly and steer properly.
Mrs. Makin put inexperienced people with experienced people so everyone would be okay. Read the rest of this entry »
