Goodbye And Good-luck

Posted by joshcbps on 30th November 2006

On Thursday, 30/11/06 it was Miss Mosley’s last day. She was our student teacher from the U.S. Miss Mosley was in Middle P for a few weeks [actually is was a bit more than a few weeks] and then she moved to Mrs Barry’s class. Yesterday we had a big party for her last day in Mrs Windle’s classroom. Mrs Barry’s class came together with ours and Miss Mosley made us some sort of biscuits that sort of looked like Wagon Wheels called Oreos. In them there was peanut butter sandwich between Ritz crackers. It was yum. There was also snakes and gummy bears. Then Miss Mosley gave us all a cellophane package. It had a fruit chew and a pencil plus a sticker. We will miss you and Goodbye and Good-luck!

He Does It Again

Posted by joshcbps on 26th November 2006

Last night [25/11/06] the Victorian State Election was held. It was between Steve Bracks who is the premier and Ted Baillieu. All the votes were tallied up. And also you can see all about the election on this blog and I will give it to you at the end. Now, back to the election.Yes, most people guessed it. The Labour Party won again. Yep, Steve Bracks still has the golden key to Victoria. There was big hype about this election and there were billboards and posters all around the place. Our school was a poling booth and many other places were. So Steve Bracks beat Ted Baillieu and the Liberals. Here is the place on this blog to go to find about this Election.

Another Election [But Of An Other Kind]

Posted by joshcbps on 22nd November 2006

On Tuesday the 21/11/06 we had a school election. And it wasn’t about who we thought would win the state election. The reason was to get 6 candidates and vote for the one you would think would make a person who would make Bellaire better. What we did first is Miss Brebner read out who was going to another classrooms. Then we went to our selected grades. I was in Mrs Thomas’ class. First we did a closed eyed vote to see who would be one of the 6 candidates. We wrote everyone’s name on the board. I won by 1 single vote! Our name was the Ministers. Joel.G thought of the name. The other 5 candidates were: Dylan. S, Harley. E, Issac. H, but those are the only ones I can remember [I’ll come back and edit and put in the other 2].

Lights! Camera! Action!!

Posted by jemmabbps on 21st November 2006

Just the other day 2 of our students and our teacher were in the paper with the class Macintosh. They were Peter L, Emma F and of course Mr Pearce. Anyway a Macintosh is a sort of computer except flat screen and more money. Middle P’s favorite thing to do on the Macintosh is Garage Band. Garage Band is a game where you create music and you put them on podcast’s. It’s fun to play with! :)

Santa Is Comin’ To Town!

Posted by joshcbps on 19th November 2006

In a few weeks time [actually, it is a bit more than a few weeks] it will be Christmas time! It is my favourite time of the year. Christmas is a great time for people to get together, sing carols, have Christmas dinner [I like turkey, MMMM, turkey,] and the children to open the presents. It is a great time of the year. Usually, every year the is a carol by candle light down at Eastern Beach which is a lot of fun [and there is a special appearance from Santa himself!] So enjoy and HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

Iron Chief

Posted by willbps on 19th November 2006

In the middle unit we have been given another homework task that requires us to cook up a storm in the kitchen, (with parent’s supervision of course). We have to use a block solid, powder solid and a liquid of some sort, and we have to bring it into class and let the grade taste test it. But we have to bring a sheet of paper so that the kids and parents know what their child is eating, and also to make sure they’re not allergic to any of the stuff the is in the master-piece. After all of this the teacher grades you and that’s the homework pretty simple isn’t it.

The World Is Coming To An End

Posted by willbps on 19th November 2006

Lately a lot of scientists have been talking about Global Warming and how it’s effecting the planet because humans use too much electricity, and we’re causing things called Green House Gases. Now we all use electricity so we’ve all contributed to it, so it’s not like only one Person done it and we’re going to blame it on them. Now I’m going to give a fact If humans didn’t cause Green House Gases the earths temperature would be 30% lower then what it is on a normal day. Scientist are conducting test on how we can stop Global Warming with things like Nuclear Power Plants or Solar I mean they’re all good ideas but they do come at a cost. So do whatever you can and don’t cause too much Green House Gases, help the earth.

Silk Worms

Posted by joshcbps on 16th November 2006

Today after music we had two boys from Middle W [they were Joel and Rowan] come to show us two silk worms. They were in a yogurt container. They said the only thing they eat at the moment is mulberry leaves because they come from a mulberry tree. They are Mrs Windle’s. They are babies from last year. Last year they turned into moths and these new ones were born. The boys said that they were about 30 days old and are about to start to make silk. We got to pass them round. They were the only ones that had no color. All the others were grayish with a black line.

New Portables

Posted by joshcbps on 15th November 2006

A couple of weeks ago we noticed a bit of construction going on next to the art room. Then a few days later we sat outside to watch the new arrivals of the 2 new portables. They are for Miss Kemp and Mrs Windle. We have had already had some portables for the seniors as well, so we are getting a few.

Mr P The Techno Man!

Posted by joshcbps on 15th November 2006

In Middle P we are very Lucky to have Mr Pearce and this is the reason why. He got us 8 Ipods from a women named Rita. We were all overwhelmed. We have got a great thing called a Macintosh, Mac for short. And the biggest one of all, the Smartboard. It is a huge screen, just bigger than a plasma screen in width and it it big. I works like a normal computer. It is connected to a computer and it shows what the computer shows. It is awesome. We are so lucky.
