Footy Finals!

Posted by jemmabbps on 17th September 2006

In a weeks time it will be the AFL footy grand finals, I am not sure who is playing but I know that it is going to be a great event. My family has a big party in our garage and we invite all our friends and family. We clean the garage because it is mostly dirty. It is going to be great!

Podcast 5 Is Alive

Posted by mrpbps on 15th September 2006

Amidst the usual end of term rush we managed to get the next podcast edition, podcast 5 completed and now uploaded. During the time we were getting it ready it was Literacy Week and we had Lisa Hunter a book illustrator visit us. Our intrepid reporters Josh S and Fraser were soon on the job with another great personality interview. As well we have all the news, sport, another place to ponder as well as Tech Seg. As usual, the whole “cast” is connected with our own Middle P Garage Band stings.

Photo Story 3

Posted by peterbps on 7th September 2006

Photo Story 3 is a program that allows Middle P to make our stories on Middle P stories, one of our most popular websites. You can watch a few of them on Middle P stories. It is a long process doing the stories but it all pays off in the end.

You can download Photo Story 3 off the internet. I know on podcast 4 it says you buy it but it was really just a small fault. Anyway it is a great program and you can find out how to use it better if you go to the How to Use Photo Story 3.0 on Mr P’s website.

Anyway out  of  time, got to slide so see ya!

The School Concert

Posted by nickbps on 7th September 2006

On the 11th of September it is the school concert. People do different themes. Some of the Middles are doing “Space,” and the rest are doing “Under the Sea.” The Seniors are doing “Scary Stuff” and “ABBA”. Juniors are doing “Indians” and “Weddings,” and the Preps are doing “Cowboys.” This is our second concert, and the first concert was really good. Mr Dandy teaches us all the songs. We have to sing three songs. Our songs are “Space Boogie,” “Purple People Eater,” and “It’s Our Solar System.” They are all good songs.

Hoop Time Champions!

Posted by jemmabbps on 7th September 2006

Hoop Time.jpgOn the 7th of September about half the middle unit went to the “Hoop Time” competition at the Geelong arena. By the way Hoop Time is a basketball competition when people from different schools compete against other people from different schools. The Bellaire teams were named The All Star Girls, The All Star Boys, The Bellaire Suns and the Bellaire Kings; I was in the All Star Girls. It was fun for me but I am not sure about everyone else though. My team were in the semi finals but we lost.

Making A Book In Middle P

Posted by fraserbps on 7th September 2006

In our class we write books then we check them with our red pens and when we have had enough we go to 7 page book master on the computer and write it in. After we print it on the printer then draw pictures, fine line the pictures and rub out the pencil Mr P takes it the photocopier. He needs to photocopy your cover and fold it in half exactly. Next he laminates the cover and then we colour the pictures and then Mr P finally staples it together.

Crikey!

Posted by peterbps on 7th September 2006

On the 4/9/06 the crocodile hunter also known as Steve Irwin got killed by a short tailed stingray while doing a special clip for his daughter Bindi.    According to the news the stingray got boxed in and got scared and panicked waving its stinger everywhere which went right through Steve’s lungs and into his heart. He swam to the surface and ripped the stinger out of his chest. Unfortunately he died and that was the last anyone saw of Steve Irwin or the crocodile hunter.
Middle P were very disappointed at his death so the next day brought up three websites and a video, (that we got off Wikipedia), to read and watch. We found a few facts on the short tailed sting ray on a web site called wikipedia. Middle P were very sad when we heard he was dead but we can always watch his daughter Bindi.

Hoop Time

Posted by bethanybps on 7th September 2006

For Hoop Time about 20 people went but there were about 5 extras. In a basketball team there are usually about 7 people because someone might get hurt. There were four basketball teams that were from Bellaire. They were All-Star Girls, All-Star Boys, Bellaire Sun and the Bellaire Kings. There were also heaps of other people there from the teams that all the Bellaire students were playing against.
The All-Star Girls got in the semi-finals, The All-Star Boys got in the semi-finals, The Bellaire Sun got in to the semi-finals and so did the Bellaire Kings.

Miss Cook planned it. We also had someone else who came to help with the program. Her name is Jo and she is my netball coach and she is also Mikaela’s mum.

My favourite thing about the hoop time program is that I had heaps of fun. We all did well and the whole group had a lot of fun.

Bethany a basketball expert finally!

The Roll

Posted by peterbps on 2nd September 2006

Almost every day of the week middle p has the roll.

I know it sounds pretty average because you used to have it to as a child but middle p does it differently.

When we do the roll we have a subject it could be transport or Geelong etc then we have letters that your word has to start with. It can have several letters or a very little amount.(say up to 5 letters or as low as 2 letters) and then the teacher rates how good the word is in these words Very good, I was expecting that one and terrible. And that is how middle p does there roll.
